Power Nodes: How to add sub-page to selected node?

This post is to show how to add new page as the sub-page, attached to the selected node of the current page. We will show how to do that by example of "Business Planning" presenation.

The first page of the presentation shows a scheme of main items of business management structure:

  • Objectives
  • Strategy
  • Finances
  • Market
  • Products/Services
  • Human Resources
Note: This is sample only, users can choose to add/remove any item based on your idea, for examples you can add item "competitors" or "Market trends".

Presentation Editor: First page of "Business Planning" presentation

Now you want to add new page to nodes to explain more details of each item. Let take "Finances" item, it may consists of following sub-items:
  • Investment
  • Target Revenue
  • Expenses
  • Taxes
  • Profits
Next picture will shows how to add a page to node "Finances" to show detailed items:

Presentation Editor: Add sub-page to node "Finances"

1) Touch on the shape "Finances" on edit screen to show "node actions" tools. On the left of editor's screen you will see tools for:

  • Editing title of selected node
  • Add new node, connected to selected node
  • Changing sizes, colours, borders of selected node
  • Changing style, colour of line linked nodes
  • Adding page to selected node or show the sub-page if it already created
  • Remove selected node
Note: On the bottom of page you can see tools for changing style of shape of selected node

2) Tap on "Adding page" tool, this action will create new page, attached to node "Finance". You can choose style for this new page. If the page is created already, this simply shows the page on editor screen.

Some other actions on editor's screen

1) Move selected shape:  users can re-arrange nodes of current page by selecting a node and "panning" on the screen to change its position

2) Panning with no selected node will move all nodes on the screen. To unselect all nodes, tap somewhere on the editing area, out-side of the picture.
